Today, I had a great chat with a fellow who’s in the social media/influencers marketing field. He gave a great analogy of Public Relations, Branding, and Marketing.
So you’re at a party, looking for a date. There are hundreds of potential suitors, but you didn’t speak to anyone at the party. Even if you’re at another party every night, you’re not going to get that date; if you’re not going out of your way to establishing a connection with someone.
Same goes for Marketing, you have a great product with so much potential that can help so many people. If you’re not going to Brand and Market the product and show the world how amazing your product is, how do you expect to sell it?
Personally, I see so many sellers spending so much time and money importing products. Spending the time on research and development, but when it comes to marketing their products they are simply not doing it.
No buyer will go up to you and say “Hey! I see you have leftover stock let me get rid of that for you.” It’s all up to YOU! You have to go out there and sell your product. Believe that your product will actually help people and sell.
Ultimately, if you’re product is not something that people want, why are you selling it?
I challenge Amazon Sellers to go out there and do something you’ve never done before for your business. Do something you always wanted to do but never had the guts to do it. If you need advice, reach out. I will happily help you, free of charge.
